Available in sedan and hatch, its highlights include:
- Lineartronic™ Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that – along with the new FB 2.0 litre horizontally-opposed Boxer engine - delivers combined fuel consumption of 6.8 litres per 100 kilometres – 22 per cent ahead of the superseded automatic Impreza.
- Availability of a smooth six-speed manual that consumes just 7.1 l/100 km in the combined cycle – 20 per cent ahead of the equivalent current car.
- Fuel efficiency and emission improvements - Impreza with CVT emissions are 157 grams of CO2 per km – 24 per cent better than the current four-speed auto, while the new manual produces just 164 g/km, a significant 21 per cent improvement.
- The introduction of new Auto Start Stop fuel-saving technology
- Sophisticated styling, spacious cabins with a new level of soft-touch surfaces and high-grade switchgear
- Multi-Function Displays with a wealth of information for drivers including rear view camera images fuel efficiency data
- A driver’s knee airbag across in addition to dual front, side and curtain airbags.

- A longer wheelbase and larger the cargo area
- The new four-cylinder normally aspirated FB engine produces 110 Kilowatts of power at 6200 rpm and 196 Newtonmetres of torque at 4200 rpm.
