The partnership of the Subaru WRX Experience at Highlands is a first for the Cromwell-based track and Subaru of New Zealand.
Since it entered the tourism scene, this product targets the group market of conference and incentive customers. Three different packages of high performance driving experiences are offered, using up to six Subaru WRXs.
Ms Spillane says Highlands excitedly welcomed Subaru and their WRXs to the Highlands Motorsport Park back in 2016.

Highlands has become a much sort after destination for domestic and international companies looking to reward staff, host prospective clients, or celebrate a company milestone. Our out of the box approach to tourism has meant that companies can be assured that their participants have not had an experience like Highlands before.”

For Subaru of New Zealand, it was a perfect fit to provide a stable of potent, powerful WRXs to tackle the challenging and spectacular Highlands track. Subaru’s iconic performance model, the WRX come equipped with a 2.0 litre turbo Boxer engine and the superior handling of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
Subaru was the first manufacturer to supply a fleet of cars to Highlands Motorsport Park, which was exciting for Subaru of New Zealand Managing Director Wallis Dumper.

The Subaru WRX at Highlands - First Class Fun All-Wheel Drive Experience Packages
The Subaru WRX Experience - The Ultimate Experience – 4 hours
A four-hour All-Wheel Drive high performance driving experience, which includes the use of up to six Subaru WRXs on Highlands’ international 4.1km circuit.
Included in the four-hour package, is entry into the National Motorsport Museum, access to the private GT lounge, and five unique action experiences on the circuit, including track laps on the full circuit and finishing with a hot lap with our professional instructor at the wheel.
Taster Experience – 2 hours
A two-hour All-Wheel Drive high performance driving experience.
Included in the two-hour package, are experiences on the circuit that will provide plenty of action and unique experiences for the participants, including track laps on our A and C circuit and finishing with a hot lap with our professional instructor at the wheel.
Teaser Experience – 30 minutes
This package is available only for groups, participating in a minimum of two other Highlands activities. Your guests will be rotated through the experience in groups of ten and will participate in one high performance driving experience. A minimum of 20 people in required.
