Promoter

Promotion Period

  • Starts: Thursday 8 October 2026
  • Ends: Sunday 18 October 2026 at 4:00pm NZST
  • Conditions will not change after the promotion starts. 

 

Eligibility

  • Open to New Zealand residents aged 18+. 
  • Employees, contractors, and agents of the Promoter (and their immediate family) are ineligible. 
  • One entry per person; duplicate or automated entries are invalid. 
  • No purchase necessary; no extra cost beyond standard internet/data charges. 
  • If a minor is participating in the 2.2km Kids Run, the entry must be completed by a parent or legal guardian on their behalf.

 

How to Enter

To enter the competition, participants must complete both of the following steps during the Promotional Period:

  1. Complete the online entry form at subaru.co.nz/qt-2026.
  • Limit of one entry per person. Incomplete or incorrect entries will be deemed invalid.

 

Prize Details

  • There are 10 individual race entry passes available to be won in total.
  • Each winner will receive 1x entry pass valid for their choice of one of the following events at the Queenstown Marathon on Saturday, 14 November 2026:
    • Full Marathon
    • Half-Marathon
    • 10km Run
    • 2.2km Kids Run

       
  • The approximate total retail value of the prize is:
    • Kids Run - NZD $58
    • 10Km Run – NZD $136
    • Half-Marathon – NZD $204
    • Marathon – NZD $277

       
  • Exclusions: The prize covers the event registration pass only. Flights, accommodation, ground transportation, transfers, meals, race day travel, personal insurance, and any other incidental costs associated with attending or participating in the event are strictly the responsibility of the winner. Subaru NZ is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred.

 

Winner Selection & Notification

  • The winner(s) will be randomly drawn on Monday 19 October 2026 from all valid entries received during the Promotional Period.
  • The winner(s) will be notified via the email address or phone number provided on the web sign-up form, or via direct message on social media.
  • Ten (10) winners will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries using a reputable third-party comment picker. 
  • The winner must respond to claim their prize within 48 hours of notification. If a winner fails to respond within this timeframe, Subaru NZ reserves the right to forfeit the prize and draw an alternative winner.

 

Prize Conditions

  • The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit.
  • Participation in the Queenstown Marathon is subject to the event organizers' official terms, conditions, rules, and entry criteria.

 

Costs Not Included

  • Travel, accommodation, equipment rental, meals, insurance, and any other incidental costs are strictly the responsibility of the winner and their companions. 

 

Event Changes & Force Majeure

  • The Promoter is not liable for weather conditions, pass availability, or operations/closures. 
  • No cash or alternative prize will be offered if operations cannot proceed due to external factors. 

 

Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its related bodies corporate, officers, employees, contractors and agents exclude all liability for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant or companion in connection with this promotion or the use of the prize, howsoever caused (including negligence). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

 

Privacy

  • Entrants consent to the Promoter collecting their social media handle, name, and contact details for administering the promotion and prize delivery. 
  • Personal data will be handled in accordance with the NZ Privacy Act 2020; Meta does not collect it. Personal information collected will be retained only for the period necessary to administer this promotion and deliver the prize, after which it will be securely destroyed.

 

Publicity

  • The winner’s first name and/or social media handle may be used in promotional materials across Subaru NZ’s social media channels and website. Entry into this promotion constitutes consent to such use. 

 

Social Media Disclaimer

  • This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram. Entrants fully release Meta (Facebook/Instagram) from any liability associated with this promotion.


General

  • Incomplete, non-compliant, or manipulated entries are invalid.
