Subaru has signed a fitting new partnership with the Aramex Kiwi Walk & Run Series, where the Kiwi adventure-associated brand is the official vehicle partner.
The recently launched series is a trail walk and run event with a fun Kiwi twist. Hosted in eight locations throughout New Zealand, it runs from March to May 2022. Entrants can pick their distance at each event and will be fuelled on course by iconic Kiwi tastes and flavours, including jaffas, L&P, pineapple lumps, and Cookie Time cookies. To top off the whole experience, a free Kiwi barbecue will greet them at the finish area.
Subaru is the 2022 presenting sponsor and the Aramex Kiwi Walk & Run team will be driving a Subaru Forester X Sport as they head around all the courses.
Subaru of New Zealand’s National Marketing Manager Daile Stephens says there are direct comparisons between Subaru’s get out and ‘do’ philosophy and the Kiwi Walk & Run Series.
“We know Subaru owners love to head off and explore our magnificent back yard, and walking is something people of all ages can get involved in. We think it’s fantastic that there’s different distances for walkers and runners and we love the fact that the Kiwiana pitstops are dotted throughout the courses.”

Forester X Sport has a host of aesthetic features, including the head-turning orange accents – inside and out – and new 18” black alloy wheels. Water repellent seat fabric also contributes to the special nature of this vehicle and makes it the best-matched event vehicle for the Kiwi Walk & Run Series staff.

The series’ staff had a chance to drive the Subaru Forester X Sport earlier this year and they enjoyed its off the beaten track capabilities.
“Subaru’s Forester X Sport is the ideal car to help us find the best Kiwi Walk & Run Series courses. Up and down hills, over streams and mountains, the Forester X Sport has taken us off road to some seriously cool locations. We can’t wait to show them to you in 2022,” Ms Watson says.
With a distance for everyone, the Aramex Kiwi Walk & Run Series is a ‘must add’ to your 2022 calendar. Spanning locations from Queenstown to Auckland, the events promise awesome finishers’ medals, special scenery, a friendly atmosphere and an ultimate Kiwi experience.
Participants can also walk, or run, on behalf of the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand and raise funds and awareness. They can wear purple and help start conversations that matter.
