Active Torque Vectoring System

New generation Subaru WRX STI feature a comprehensive suite of accident avoidance technologies, including a comprehensive Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system.
Comprising seven key features, VDC is far more than just a stability system. These technologies include:
Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)
Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA)
Traction Control System (TCS)
Brake Override System (BOS)
Active Torque Vectoring System
All new generation WRX and WRX STI models now add Active Torque Vectoring to their VDC technologies.
ACTIVE TORQUE VECTORING SYSTEM: - reduces cornering understeer that tends to occur due to the influence of the front-rear vehicle weight imbalance when cornering.
When this occurs the system applies the brake to the front inner wheel to help pull the front of the vehicle into the corner for a more neutral steering effect.
When combined with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (SAWD) Active Torque Vectoring delivers superior traction and pure control in every corner.
